Vespa 946 Christian Dior

Christian Dior, a brand known for creating impeccable high fashion pieces has recently mixed high fashion with ultimate streetwear – just look at the AIR Dior collaboration between Jordan brand and Dior. And now it has joined forces with what can be seen as quintessential Italian transport.

Vespa conjures up images of Italians enjoying life, riding through Rome without a care in the world and is now as much as a fashion icon as it is a mode of transport. These two fashion powerhouses both started in 1946 and have only now joined forces to create the limited edition Vespa 946 Christian Dior.

Due for launch in Spring 2021, the Vespa 946 Christian Dior reinvents this spirit of freedom, movement and expression that drives the two brands and of course ‘La Dolce Vita’.

Based on Vespa’s top of the line model, the 946, which was revealed back in 2012 and celebrated for its elegance, streamlined curves and technological innovation. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Creative Director of Dior women’s collections, the Vespa’s monohull architecture and subtle graphic lines pay tribute to the heritage of both Dior and Vespa. Mix in those stunning gold highlights and you have the ultimate fashion accessory to ride.

Granted there is limited storage space, but the team have thought about that, a top case patterned with the Dior Oblique motif, has been specially designed to be fixed to the luggage rack and the model isn’t complete without a helmet adorned with the same iconic motif.

The Vespa 946 Christian Dior will launch in Spring 2021, with no official price as yet, and will be sold in Dior and Vespa boutiques around the world.
