Jaguar presents the Vision Gran Turismo SV

Jaguar has revealed its new Vision Gran Turismo SV racer for the hotly anticipated seventh generation Gran Turismo game due to be launched on PlayStation 5 in 2021.

The team at Special Vehicle Operations went a step further by building a full-scale design model as well as the in-game model showcasing the potential of EV motorsport design.

The concept builds on Jaguar’s Formula E technology using four electric motors, one at each wheel developed by Jaguar Racing to deliver 1,903PS catapulting the GT SV from 0-60mph in 1.65 seconds and onto a top speed of 225mph. For a race car, it has an incredibly low drag co-efficient of Cd 0.398 whilst also generating 483kg of downforce at 200mph.

Designed as the ultimate virtual endurance racer, the Jaguar Vision GT SV pays homage to its illustrious forebears not only in a host of styling and surfacing references but in its unique circuit board livery which nods to milestones such as the Le Mans debuts of the C-type and D-type in 1951 and 1954 respectively.

TCCT eClassic: Race classics with this simulator

Classic car racing is a thing of beauty, immersing yourself in the history of the sport, smelling the engines firing up, hearing them zoom past but all in the while worrying that if there is a shunt it will be very costly to life and wallet. It is a risk that many take. But what if you could greatly reduce that risk till the race itself?

The Classic Car Trust, dedicated to fostering the heritage, enjoyment, and preservation of classic cars in a fast-moving world has teamed up with some of the best in the automotive world; Pininfarina, Zagato and Racing Unleashed to create a racing simulator like no other.

Taking state-of-the-art high-end simulator technology, developed with the team behind Assetto Corsa – used by race drivers for training purposes – and converting into a unique classic car driver experience, allowing owners to take their near priceless cars on track in a exquisitely designed frame that pitches and yaws according to the driver’s input.

From 2021, owners will be able to compete in a gentleman’s championship or go for a drive by themselves depending on their mood. The exclusive club will give owners and drivers access to training sessions and coaching programs. Details are a little sparse but word is that the simulator will cost around €6,000 with deliveries starting in 2021 and will look great in any man cave.

Jeep Wrangler MW3 edition

Everyone is jumping on the Call of Duty bandwagon.

Jeep have recently released a special edition Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 off-road vehicle.

The vehicle sports all manners of specific gaming paraphernalia; such as new front and rear bumpers (the rear one holds water), mesh reliefs in the hood, flat black wheels with large, blocky tires and large metal emblems.

Normally im not that much of a fan when it comes to american jeeps. let’s just say they make everything far too big and for no apparent reason. But this beast is something I would gladly call my own.

GTA V trailer

Yes, it is here…. rockstar games have released the trailer for the new addition to their GTA series.

Its based in the same town Vinewood, the fictional version of Hollywood as GTA San Andreas.

It’s a great looking teaser and I’m sure people will be coming up with their own assumptions to what will be included in the game.

It looks like new cars have been added to the game which is a plus. Graphics wise only time will tell, but it looks like it has been improved to look more like a film.

here it is:

Fight Night: Champion

I have finally got my hands on ‘Fight night: Champion’ on Xbox 360. Initial thoughts are good.

Just in case you don’t know, this edition of fight night is the 5th edition. As soon as you start the game you are thrown into a prison boxing ring where you have to knock out your opponent. It is a good way of getting the player hooked to the story mode straight away but the task is a little daunting till you get the hang of it, which you will.

A tip I learnt is don’t go in throwing punches like a mad man, because if you try this in real life you will get tired and your reactions will slow down. this game makes you think and you need to act as if it is you in the ring. Play it as if you are playing chess. Ok maybe not so much but think before you attack!

The graphics and physics engine work really wel with the gameplay allowing you to see every cut and bruise you inflict on your opponent.
