The Vilicci Virtuouso isn’t just a BBQ, it is a work of fine art. This is a grill that you keep out on display as a conversation starter. Made of stainless steel and some brass, it has a hexagonal cone shaped fire chamber with strategically placed air vents to ensure perfect air circulation around the fire which will burn evenly and efficiently throughout the grilling.
Alongside the grill, there is an additional rotisserie system that can be safely placed on or removed from the grill by opening a sturdy deadbolt latch. This makes it easy to load the rotisserie with up to 5 lbs of meat. You can of course, rotate the skewer rotisserie, or lock it in place and adjust its angle up to 90 degrees when needed. Skewers can also be individually removed from the rotisserie.
The ½’ inch thick cooktop is made of stainless steel, it is slanted inwards to that grease will always go back into the firepit and it will never deform from heat. Emptying ash from the fire chamber is very easy due to the convenient vacuum cleaner port. By adjusting the height of the inner fire chamber, you can fine-tune the temperature of the grill’s cooktop. The cooktop’s temperature also slightly varies between the inner and outer parts, so you can control the speed of cooking by placing food at the appropriate area.
The double wall construction of the grill ensures that the outer walls are much cooler than the walls of the fire chamber. This makes out grills safer and easier to stand near. The generously sized cooktop – which measures nearly 40 inches in diameter and the Virtuoso costs €13,500 and comes with a 10-year warranty.

Anker has created a wireless battery pack that makes use of Apple’s proprietary MagSafe magnetic charging and mounting system. The PowerCore Magnetic 5K Wireless Power Bank clicks on the back of the iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max to give it charge.
The pack will only support 5W wireless charging from the 5,000 mAh cell but if you want charging to be a little quicker, the bank also has a USB-C port that supports 10W output.
As most iPhone owners will use a case of some sort, Anker is compatible with MagSafe cases. Hence, users can attach it to any iPhone 12 series device with or without a case.
At the moment, these battery packs will only be available in the US at a cost of $39.99 with an 18-month warranty. Apple is said to be creating its own wireless solution but at the moment, this is the only option.
Norwegian Rain, a clothes company started by two entrepreneurs focused their energy on the humble raincoat. Based in Bergen, the rainiest city in Europe Based on traditional tailoring techniques, ‘Japanese sensibilities’ and high tech innovative solutions you can understand why that was the choice of garment.
Last year they reached their ten year anniversary and wanted to collaborate with a watch company. Talking to Unimatic, they wanted to show that you can neither capture time nor tame the weather as well wanting to etch a mark in time as their belief is that time weathers everything.
Creating two styles based off Unimatic’s Modello Uno, both feature a minimal black bezel and a first of its kind double layer dial composed of an individually oxidised solid copper gradating to one of a kind green hue with cutout markers showing through a brushed copper base. The dial is sealed with proprietary technique to preserve the unique process in time. Time is indicated thanks to the skeleton brushed copper ladder phantom H+M, reverse lollipop S with gloss tip.
To mark the ten year anniversary, the team highlighted the ten on the watch face with an X. Powered by a Seiko automatic calibre with a 41 hour reserve, it is water resistant to 300m.
The caseback features the Unimatic x Norwegian Rain 10 years anniversary engraving and the individual progressive number. The watch is part of a unique edition of 39 pieces.
Alpha Motor Corporation has revealed its newest electric offering, in the shape of a crossover utility vehicle (CUV) called the JAX. It shares a platform with its sibling the Alpha ACE.
To really push its credentials the name JAX stands for Junior All-Terrain Crossover, positioning it as a fun, utility vehicle with enough space for four passengers with a clean powertrain. The adventure seeking electric vehicle was unveiled in a deep green finish inspired by nature surrounding the scenic Redwood Highway in Northern California. It is offered as four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive system with a towing capability of 830kg.
It will be fitted with a 75 kWh Lithium-ion battery providing an estimated 250 miles of range whilst capable of silently accelerating to 60mph in 6.5 seconds. Nothing to blow your socks off especially with the likes of Tesla, Rivian and Porsche all offering better specs all round.
It isn’t necessarily as small as it looks in the pictures with the JAX coming in at 4,560mm long which is 300mm shorter than a Taycan, 1,930mm wide (30mm narrower than the Taycan) and 1,634mm tall (300mm taller than the Taycan). It provides 1769 litres of combined storage.
Inside, it becomes more evident where styling cues were lifted from – there is a central landscape display, a driver-centric digital speedometer and then very little else to clutter the environment. A lot of the internal components have been crafted to be easily replaceable.
Alpha is now taking deposits for the JAX and the ACE, but the company is keen to show its commitment to move humanity with innovations in electric vehicle modularity, customisation flexibility and practicality.
Car detailing has exploded in recent years, with countless companies sprouting up showing that cars can look even better than when they left the factory. There are videos showing orange-peel paint correction, removing swirls and bringing paint back to life.
All of these methods take time to master and cost hundreds, if not thousands worth of equipment, mainly the orbital polisher. But what if you want to spruce up your car’s paint without spending large amounts of money?
AutoBuff, the new product from Pumpit, a company focussed on building automotive accessories is an orbital polisher than allows the user to compound, polish and finish the paintwork of your car.
Its cordless design means it weighs a lot less than professional polishing tools. It has a round handle for a convenient and comfortable grip to use at any angle. AutoBuff allows you to select the speed by pressing the button on the top of the machine. It has a speed range of 3,400 to a 3,800 OPM. It comes with three pads of varying coarseness making it ideal for buffers of all experience levels.
Fitted with a 4,000mAh battery, it will provide up to 45 mins worth of polishing power and can be charged via USB-C meaning it can be topped up in the car whilst you admire your handy work.
Due to be shipped out to customers in May 2021, the AutoBuff received 100% of the backing needed within the first hour of its launch, but there is still time to get hold of one.
