Finally a new dodge viper is among us! This fifth generation of sports car hasn’t fallen in line with the rest of the eco warriors. This monster still uses a whopping 8.4L V10 to bring those 640 horses to the tarmac.
I have always known the dodge viper to be a mental car, built in a garage using an engine pulled out of a truck. exhausts ran below the door cards which used to catch fire after some extensive usage.
It started off in 1995 and the fourth edition seized to exist back in 2010.
But now 2012 has rolled up and Dodge have unveiled its now slightly more grown up ‘SRT Viper‘. Looking more upmarket than its predecessor however still not rubbing shoulders with the likes of Ferrari and Aston Martin.
CEO Ralph Gilles stated that “I want the new Viper to be a more forgiving car to drive and accessible to more people. We’ve never had stability control on a high-performance car, which is about to happen on the new car.”
some people may say that the Viper is a car left in the dark whilst some others may think of this as a true drivers car with very little aids and a very big engine pushing power to the rear wheels. One thing I am sure of is that a lot will be sold in the US as it is still an icon and a few others will be bought in the middle east.
