1st food Review – Big Easy – Kings Road London

This is a first for me… and I might start doing it more often as the experience of eating good food with great company is exceptional.

While I was on holiday in London, my girlfriend recommended a crab shack/Bar B. Q place which sounded good.

For the location, Kings Road isn’t really known for its crab shacks but more for its money and status so we weren’t expecting anything cheap.

The outside looks like a pub, so if you are not on the look out for it you will definitely miss it. when we got inside we were greeted and taken to our table near a live band. The live band wasn’t too loud which let you talk to your companions at the table but also added to the overall atmosphere of being at a Crab shack in America.

Popcorn Shrimp…. Go for it… you will not regret it. full pieces of shrimp in batter with tartar or a spicy dipping sauce.

Two of us went for Surf and Turf getting a choice of either shrimp or lobster with sirloin or fillet steaks ranging from 200 to 300grms. two others went for a full rack of baby back ribs smothered in hickory sauce and last but not least the last person got a full Lobster.

The Steaks were cooked to perfection…. the shrimp was marinated in sweet chilli sauce which worked really well with the steak.

The Ribs were so meaty and tasty that everyone had to try one or two.

then to top it all off we went for their home-made pecan pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. was delicious but after all the food was just a little too much.

all in all a good experience and recommend it to all of you. be weary of the 12.5% service charge though
